With the planting of 116 medium-sized trees, the new tree-lined meadow in Villaggio Barona comes to life. The project, conceived by Fondazione Attilio e Teresa Cassoni, enhances and connects the existing green areas, making the entire neighborhood even more livable and welcoming.
“This initiative in Villaggio Barona shows how urban forestation can be an integral part of a social inclusion project. It’s not just about planting trees, but about building connections between nature and people, turning every new tree into an opportunity for growth for the local area. In Forestami, we hope that every new tree that finds space in the city will be welcomed with a gesture of care by those who live there” said Enrico Calvo, Project Manager of Forestami.
The planting of the woodland was made possible thanks to the commitment of Cooperativa Opera in Fiore, which sees this initiative as the natural evolution of the projects it has carried out over the years. “Planting trees requires responsibility and strong moral values that guide our social cooperative, which has been active in Villaggio Barona for over 20 years. This is a virtuous project for environmental sustainability and social inclusion, one that has generated new job opportunities for disadvantaged people thanks to an incredible collaborative network” said Federica Dellacasa, President of Opera in Fiore.
