Objective
The new wooded area between the Naviglio Grande and the cemetery enhances the environmental provision and redefines the relationship between the urban center and the countryside.

The intervention, carried out together with Il Giardinone Cooperativa Sociale and also thanks to Amazon’s contribution, involved 100 students from five primary school classes and represents an important opportunity to reconfigure the relationship between the urban center and the countryside, mitigating the impact of the cemetery wall on the landscape and creating new natural features in continuity with the environmental system of the Naviglio Grande and the existing woodlands.
The main species used are: manna ash, Turkey oak, white hornbeam, cherry, field maple, common ash, hazel, spindle tree, dogwood, and privet.
The planting is located along a rural path that will allow people passing through it to come into contact with the growth of the new woodland.
