Objective
The increase in tree cover in the Parco Aldo Moro and Parco Sandro Pertini enhances environmental quality and biodiversity within the network of green spaces connecting the agricultural landscape to the urban center.
Cesano Boscone
An urban afforestation project aimed at increasing the tree cover across the territory, in Parco Aldo Moro and Parco Sandro Pertini, which contributes to creating a green connection between agricultural spaces and the urban center.
The intervention, designed and implemented by ERSAF, involved the planting of forest seedlings and instant-effect trees, shrub patches, and hedges in the less used areas of the parks, along with new tree rows along internal paths, using species such as lime tree, American styrax, tulip tree, spindle, alder buckthorn, blackthorn, privet, viburnum, and hawthorn.
The planting also benefited from citizen involvement, some of whom were participants in the Custodiscimi 2022 project.
