Objective
The new wooded areas in Piazza Vercelli and Via Abruzzi aim to enhance urban greenery within the residential context in which they are located.
Legnano
In the green area of about 6,000 square meters in Piazza Vercelli – Viale Sabotino, near the schools, a new woodland will grow, composed of trees and shrubs that continue the existing vegetation. The Cooperativa Il Ponte, responsible for design and maintenance, has planted 301 trees, including 20 wild linden specimens.
The area on Via Abruzzi involved cleaning an existing wooded zone and creating a new area with trees and shrubs, for a total of 470 new plants, along with the establishment of a fruit orchard with a regular planting pattern. Among the main species are medlar, persimmon, cornelian cherry, blackthorn, mulberry, and fig.
