Melzo
The new urban forest in Melzo has been called the “green bypass,” with 1,551 trees planted in the area between Via Curiel and Via Lussemburgo, spanning 7,000 square meters of land.
It will host oaks, beeches, hornbeams, hawthorns, and hazelnuts, creating a true green lung, a barrier of oxygen and fresh air that, in the coming years, will provide essential ecosystem services for the Melzo area.
The area before the intervention.
Residents contribute to planting the trees.
